Terms of Service
These terms apply to Torah and Chassidus Translate, its website, and the optional Managed AI service. By using them, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
Free and bring-your-own-key features
Local projects and supported bring-your-own-key features do not require a managed-service subscription. You are responsible for the credentials, charges, and provider terms associated with a provider account you configure. Ending a Managed AI subscription does not delete local projects or prevent you from using your own supported provider key.
Managed AI service
The optional Managed AI subscription provides AI credits. The monthly plan includes 2,000 credits per monthly paid period. The annual plan includes 24,000 credits for the annual paid term, released in twelve monthly tranches of 2,000 credits. Each subscription grant expires 12 months after it is issued. Credit packs of 500 or 2,000 credits may be purchased only while a Managed AI subscription is active. Purchased pack credits do not expire while the account exists and remain usable after cancellation.
No free Managed AI trial is offered in this launch. Prices, taxes, currencies, renewal dates, and legally required disclosures shown by Apple, Google, or Stripe at checkout are authoritative for that purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled through the merchant that sold the plan. Cancel before renewal to prevent the next charge. Cancellation normally leaves access active through the paid period, subject to the merchant’s status.
Purchases, refunds, and credits
Apple and Google are the merchants for mobile purchases. Stripe Checkout is used on the web and Windows, with Stripe Customer Portal for hosted subscription management. Refund and chargeback requests are governed by the applicable merchant’s process and law. A refund, reversal, dispute, or revoked transaction may remove the associated entitlement or unused credits. Credits have no cash value, are not transferable, and are not cryptocurrency or a stored-value account.
A managed operation displays or obtains a credit estimate before processing. The service may reserve credits, charge the final validated metered amount up to the confirmed maximum, and return the unused reservation. Managed voice has a headline rate of 60 credits per connected minute and settles from measured connected seconds, up to 600 credits for a 10-minute session. A session that never connects or produces no usable output costs zero. Failed, malformed, unsafe, or unusable output costs zero credits; provider retries are not separately charged. There is no automatic top-up, automatic overage, or postpaid balance. We may correct duplicate or erroneous ledger entries without reducing credits legitimately purchased and used under these terms.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break law, infringe rights, evade store or security controls, probe credentials, automate abusive traffic, resell access, manipulate metering, or interfere with other users. You must have the right to process and share the material you submit. We may rate-limit or suspend the managed service to protect users, providers, or billing integrity.
AI output and source fidelity
AI, OCR, translation, citations, and summaries can be incomplete or wrong. They are study aids, not authoritative religious, legal, medical, or financial advice. Review output against the source and qualified authorities before relying on it. Availability and model selection may change for reliability, safety, quality, or cost reasons without changing credits already purchased.
Your content and optional publishing
You retain rights you hold in your project content. You grant only the limited permission needed to process a request you initiate or to publish a Global Library contribution you explicitly submit. Public contributions can be copied by others; unpublishing removes the project’s served copy but cannot recall copies already exported or independently saved.
Availability and changes
The app and managed service are provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Maintenance, provider outages, platform rules, abuse controls, or emergencies may temporarily limit a feature. Material changes to these terms will be dated on this page. Rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.
Ending service and deleting an account
You may stop using the app at any time. Cancel a subscription with the merchant that billed it; deleting a Torah Translate account does not itself cancel that merchant subscription. You may then delete the managed account in the app or request deletion at the public deletion page. Sections that by their nature survive—including transaction reconciliation, rights, disputes, and lawful retention—continue after termination.
Contact
Use the private support form for billing, terms, or account questions. Do not send passwords, API keys, full payment-card details, or private source material.
